Selena Gomez reveals what she actually said to Taylor Swift and Keleigh Teller at the Golden Globes

And no, it didn’t have anything to do with Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner.

Selena Gomez is putting the Golden Globes rumor mill to rest.

A viral moment was born at Sunday’s awards show when Gomez could be seen animatedly chatting with pals Taylor Swift and Keleigh Teller — who looked shocked by what they heard — and a rumor quickly spread online that Gomez was dishing on how she asked for a photo with Timothée Chalamet, but was turned down by his girlfriend and date for the evening, Kylie Jenner.

On an E! News Instagram post about the rumor on Tuesday, Gomez set the record straight with a simple comment. “Noooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up,” Gomez commented on the post. “Not that that’s anyone business.”

Furthermore, a source reportedly told PEOPLE that Gomez “was absolutely not referencing anything about Timothée or Kylie,” and that the Only Murders in the Building star “never even saw or spoke to” the couple.

Gomez was nominated at the 81st annual Globes for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series — Musical or Comedy, for her role in Only Murders in the Building. She lost to The Bear star Ayo Edebiri.

Swift, who brought Teller (wife of Miles Teller) as her guest for the evening, was nominated for the newly created category of Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, for her concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. The award ultimately went to Barbie.
